In a series of sweeping and radical directives newly elected Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon to eliminate cash bail in most Misdemeanor cases. Along with nearly a dozen radical reforms the way the Los Angeles Criminal Courts do business is about to change quite markedly in 2021. A full review of all the State and Local changes coming this year and rolling out as we speak will be outlined here. Sadly our knuckle dragging counties to the South and North proceed with Covid infected courthouses and jails with no real reforms in sight.
